XI JORNADAS DE GEOGRAFÍA ECONÓMICA. FIRST CONFERENCE OF ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY
Territorial and Productive Strategies in a Global Change Context
The Economic Geography Group of the Spanish Geography Association (AGE), in collaboration with the Department of Geography, Prehistory, and Archaeology of the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU), is pleased to announce the celebration of the XI Economic Geography Conference – First Conference of Economic Geography. This event, titled “Territorial and Productive Strategies in a Global Change Context,” will take place at the Faculty of Arts of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz on November 14th and 15th, 2024. The main purpose of these conferences is to generate a high-quality scientific-academic space, exploring territorial and productive dynamics within the framework of contemporary global challenges.
For the first time, this conference presents an international character, welcoming contributions in both English and Spanish. With an inclusive and multidisciplinary approach, the event features a scientific committee composed of prominent experts in the field of Economic Geography and related disciplines.
Main Themes: The XI Economic Geography Conference – First Conference of Economic Geography will focus on studying the response of territories and their economic activities to the challenges posed by the current context of geopolitical instability, climate crisis, questioning of globalization, and citizen dissatisfaction stemming from the increase in social and spatial inequality.
